7 Questions Your Website Should Answer To Turn Visitors Into Loyal Customers

Your website is often the first impression potential customers have of your business. It’s like your digital storefront, and just like any good storefront, your site needs to answer key questions that guide visitors to engage, trust, and convert.

Let’s break down the most important elements:

01. What do you do?

Let's start with the basics! When visitors land on your homepage, they should immediately understand what you offer—whether it's a product, service, or solution—within 5 seconds. No scrolling, no clicking, no guessing.

Use that prime real estate at the top of your homepage to make your offer crystal clear. A concise headline, supported by a brief subtext, should convey the essence of your business.

02. Who are your products or services for?

As well as what you offer, you need to be just as clear on who your offer is for. Visitors to your website need to know if your products and services are suited to them, as well as using this as a way to attract your ideal clients.

For example, if you really want to work with people in the coaching industry, but you’re getting a load of enquiries from people in construction, then your website messaging might not be quite right.

03. How does your offer solve your clients problems?

It’s also not just about what you sell—it's about the transformation you provide. Ask yourself: What specific problem does your product or service solve? How does it make life easier for your customers? Whether it saves them time, improves their business, or enhances their lifestyle, make sure your website conveys the benefits and results clearly.

04. What are your prices?

Pricing transparency is a common sticking point for service-based businesses. Should you display your prices on your website? In my opinion: absolutely, yes.

Being upfront about pricing builds trust and saves time—both for you and potential clients. Whether you list set prices, a pricing range, or a “starting from” figure that requires a custom quote, it helps visitors gauge whether your services align with their budget. Transparency in pricing is key to fostering trust and avoiding unnecessary back-and-forth.

I’m quite passionate about this one, so I dive deeper into this topic in a separate blog post here.

05. What makes you stand out or different from others in your industry?

In a competitive marketplace, differentiation is crucial. What sets you apart from others in your industry? Is it your unique process, personalised service, or a standout feature of your product? Don’t be shy—highlight what makes you special.

Think about the value you bring that no one else can, and make sure your website communicates this clearly and confidently.

06. How can I contact you?

Communication is everything. Visitors need a clear, easy way to get in touch with you, whether they have questions, need support, or are ready to make a purchase.

Ensure you have a dedicated Contact page and display your contact information prominently across your site (like in the footer). Offering multiple ways to reach you, such as an email address, a contact form, and links to your social media profiles, ensures you're accessible to a wider audience.

07. What do I do next?

Your clients aren’t mind readers, and so unless you tell them what you want them to do next, they’re probably not going to do it!

This is where a great CTA - or Call To Action - comes in.

Whether it’s making a purchase, signing up for a newsletter, or contacting you for more information, a clear call to action (CTA) is essential. Don’t leave them hanging—tell them exactly what to do next.

Tips:

  • Place CTAs strategically (e.g., at the end of blog posts, on product pages).

  • Use action-oriented language (e.g., “Buy Now,” “Get Started,” “Contact Us”).

  • Make sure CTAs stand out visually.

  • Use strong, clear CTAs throughout your site.

Conclusion

Your website is a powerful tool for communicating with potential customers. By ensuring it answers these seven key questions, you can create a more engaging, informative, and trustworthy online presence.
