The Sunshine Suites

The Sunshine Suites is a luxury hotel complex in California, wanting to attract a younger audience to their higher end offering. They’re there for people who want to have fun and experience all of the wonderfulness the West Coast has to offer in style.

I started this project by gathering imagery that would go on the brand board that captivated the essence and energy of the West Coast and from here, a beautiful colour palette emerged of pastel hues and blues.

I knew I wanted a font that was mix of both playful energy and classiness and elegance, and the Crushed font - I felt - really fit this brief.

I thought it would be fun to play around with the font and subsequent logo as a wax seal - as a nod to the old Hollywood history of California, and as a debossed style on the business cards.
